NSW Police officer Dave Roberts, represented and captained Australia in the over 45’s division at the Touch Football World Cup, in Malaysia this year. With the heat soaring to up to 50 degrees it was a mammoth effort just taking the field.
The teams Australia played were: South Africa, England, New Zealand, Fiji and Wales. Beating New Zealand in the Grand Final nail biter, 5-4.
Dave has represented Australia since 2001 in the Mixed Opens, Over 30’s, Over 40’s and now the over 45’s. He has competed at three World Cups, captaining the last two.
