Two hundred and fifty of the NSW Police Force’s finest headed to Melbourne in April to contest the Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games.

Great success was achieved by most who attended and many new friendships were formed across the week-long competition. New South Wales were also the proud recipients of the AP&ES Games Federation Trophy, having only previously won this back in 1999, when the event again was hosted by Victoria. Congratulations to all team members on this achievement.
Team Manager, Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate (Forward Commander – Operation Talon) was full of praise for the team’s achievements and encourages all police officers to start training for the next event on the NSW Police Council of Sports sporting calendar, the 2015 NSW Police Games in Wollongong in March.
